A classic NISP solution for crushed concrete...Interserve Project Services Ltd was faced with a 600 tonne surplus of crushed concrete no longer needed at their Headley Court site, near Epsom. This presented a storage headache and an additional financial (and environmental) burden for Interserve to arrange disposal to landfill. Not long after contacting the NISP South East team, an alternative solution was found for Interserve through leading aggregate suppliers Hanson. Collections were arranged free of charge, providing a cost-effective and practical solution for Interserve and material with resale value for Hanson. Without NISPs assistance it is likely the material would have ended its life unnecessarily in landfill, at considerable cost to Interserve.
