Paul Knuckle is responsible for the commercial management of NISP at national level with a specific emphasis on regional and international development.
Paul started his career with BT, initially as an engineer, then moving on to account management looking after BT’s major customers in the public and private sectors. After a degree in Environmental Management, Paul became Head of Local Food Programmes at the Soil Association where he was responsible for the planning, implementation and management of key support projects and resources throughout the UK. Whilst there he contributed to the development of local food markets such as organic box schemes. He was also responsible for creating and chairing the National Association of Farmers Markets and was a partner in setting up a multi-million pound fund that supported local food and farming groups. Paul has recently been Business Support Team Leader for a £35 million community waste management programme.
Paul has held directorships with Sustain, the alliance for better food and farming and the National Recycling Forum, and has been an active member of the Parliamentary Sustainable Waste Group
