Rob joined the NISP team in August 2006 and brings a broad and informed knowledge of the waste and environment sector gained from 10 years industrial experience in the chemical and consultancy sector. Since joining NISP, Rob has been providing new business opportunities for a wide range companies by introducing innovative and cost effective solutions for under utilised resources.
Rob has been assisting the Construction, Demolition, Aggregates and Utilities sectors across the UK and has developed a working group for these sectors in the East of England. Support has been provided by facilitating meetings, running events and promoting new technologies to develop this network in the region. Rob has assisted with the landfill diversion and reprocessing of over 200,000 tonnes of construction materials by supporting and developing recycling facilities, aiding the use of soil stabilisation technologies and sourcing and identifying recycled/alternative aggregates. . Rob has been providing assistance on a national basis by acting as a main point of contact for large organisations, helping them to coordinate their resource efficiency opportunities, and to develop their procurement strategies and supply chains.
Rob holds a degree in Environmental Chemistry gained at The University of Liverpool, is trained environmental auditor and an Associate Member of Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA).
